Have been eying this rear projection HDTV deal for awhile, and finally broke down when I saw the price had droped another $200!

Link to Circuit City

The reviews look good on the CC site, but I can't find much anywhere else.

It's very basic, but the picture seemed good and for the $$$, I think it is HOT!

It is a nice price for a big screen. Dvi would be nice. No PIP. No 3:2 drop down is the only major thing I see about it missing. So would test some non WD dvd's out on it and see if you get any problems with bar's. Also with any RP CRT's you have to adjust regularly.

Also may want to check some of the Sams\Costco deals on RP HDTV's. Some of them have built in HD tuners, making up the difference in costs and more built in options.

not to thread crap, but with projectors dropping in price to this range, what's the advantage to buying a hurkin monster tv these days? i suppose one factor would be that the bulbs on projectors burn out if you're watching tv all the time. just wondering...

Bulb cost, ambient lighting, positioning, additional screen purchase, etc.

You might look at the dates of these threads before you bother bumping them. Most of these deals are week to week.
