50ft internet extension cable OK?

I'm looking at moving a 2nd PC to the far section of the house. The cable from the router (we have fiberoptic highspeed used by 2 PCs) to the 2nd PC will be about 50ft. Will this degrade performance at all, for either PC?

Run Cat6 or Cat 5E rated cable and get cable suited for in the wall construction use or plenum wiring.

The types of patch cables you'd buy for general PC to switch use inside an office are generally not jacketed with very tough material and you could damage them if you're stapling them to walls or pulling them through crawlspaces or whatever.

Length isn't a limit, your main concern is the ease of construction / cable pulling and the durability of the cable itself if you're going to walk on it or pull it through a tight space or staple it et. al.
