50FPS Geforce fx5200 and CS

yes im getting 50 FPS when there is some action on an fx5200???
otherwise its @ 60....vsunc is on

here are the settings....sux when it goes from 60 to 50

1024X786 (damn dun want 800X600)
aa and 1f both at 2X.....love 'em....
open GL

My specs....
p4 1.8
512 DDR
Win XP pro

If you're still getting a steady 50fps when there's action, don't worry much about it. The FX5200 isn't a power-level card by any measure, so I wouldn't be surprised if it has a couple dips when there's a lot of activity (a few smokes, half-dozen models)

will going into 800X600 mode make it better....also sum times.....it falls to 45....

im overclocking to 260/420

well ya 800x600 would probably bring your lows up a bit, but 45fps is not that bad really. i drop to about that with my 9700pro at 1600x1200 with 2xaa and 16xaf.

LOL my Radeon LE (BIOS flashed to Radeon 7200) does better than that 🙂 And I thought DirectX7 was dead... 😀

Most of these people are FOS talking about higher framerates. 50 fps in counterstrike is more than good enough
