These are the high quality rosewill psus. Even the lower quality ones are deemed great. (BTW whenever rosewill psus are discussed the only bad thing people have to say is that they are "too good to be true," no one has had a bad experience with those psus in my opinion, especially not the one listed.

That is one of THE BEST budget PSUs you can buy. The actual manufacturer is Channel Well, who makes Antec and Enermax rebadges, among others. Channel Well is also one of three Tier-1 PSU manufacturers.

That is another awesome budget PSU. Topower makes this unit (they also make rebadges for OCZ, Tagan, Vantec, and others). Another Tier-1 manufacturer. The third Tier-1 company is FSP (Fortron, Sparkle, CoolerMaster, etc.).

Rosewill uses a Tier-4 manufacturer (Youngyear) for most of their PSUs. Huge step up in quality between Tier-1 and Tier-4. I would consider spending the extra $15-$20, especially if you're powering a friggin' SLI rig that costs $1000 or more.

According the the specs of the second one, the rosewill one is actually better imo...

Specs mean nothing. I could say my power supply is capable of delivering 34A on the +12v rail, but that doesn't guarantee it will. The addage "You get what you pay for" doesn't always hold true, however in this case, I think it does. I have heard nothing but bad stuff about the Rosewills. Even worse, when they do go (which chances are it will, more likely sooner than later), they tend to take other components with them.

I would NEVER trust a $500-1000 SLI configuration with a $35 PSU.

then you would be wrong.

I own this PS and it kicks ass. I had an Antec PS that was supposedly 550 watts, it couldn't handle my rig. This PS handles it with some to spare.

Just my $0.02. It probably depends on the setup you're using, too. But just because a PSU works doesn't mean it'll last. Then again, maybe yours will. Rosewill might've started buying from a different OEM. But almost everything I've heard about the Rosewills has been negative.

Did you read the rest of the thread?

Or is that a bit too difficult for you?

What is it with people wasting everyone's time by commenting on a thread without actually reading it?

Rudeguy...please check out the link I provided above to TD and the Ultra-X Connect 500 Watt PS and post if it does/doesn't appear likely that your PS is indeed a rebadged Ultra-X. I bought the Ultra-X 2 months ago because it received pretty good reviews over the last 6 months or so. I havn't purchased all my components yet so I don't know how my PS will perform until it's put to the test.

Thanks in advance.

Newegg ships quickly, you'll probably have it by Friday if it was ordered by 4PM PST.

I was under the impression the Rosewill was the Newegg house brand. I know it's rebadged, but I do not think you can buy them from anywhere else.

Rated specs mean nothing. Many of us speak from experience; myself, I've gone through junk brands like RaidMax, PowMax, and Deer PSUs. Some lasted 3 months, some lasted 18 months, but eventually they started crapping out. Bought a FSP 550W PSU last year, and the quality is evident right when you pick it up. Better housing, bigger heatsinks, quiet fans, dual 12V rails, etc.

Another great PSU to check out is the TTGI/SuperFlower 550W 14CM Fan. Awesome, powerful, quiet Tier-1 rebadged PSU.

Not true. Many places sell Rosewill products. Rosewill also has their own website. http://www.rosewill.com

I have three Rosewill PSU's and all are doing great! All bought from newegg on specials ect and have not had a single power issue or problem with them. The voltages are firm and almost never drop below their stated rating. I use to buy these high doller psu's since I wanted to protect my investments with good clean power but like all electrical items they have faults too. I bought the rosewills on a whim and I am glad I did :) !

The only places that sell Rosewill are Newegg and Chiefvalue as far as I know, and those are the same company.
