Hi,

I'd like to know how Dell's 500m differs from 600m. Reading the posts in here, it seems like most ppl are in agreeance that 600m is a pretty good lappy when considering the price. We just got 500m laumnched in New Zealand. I don't know if it's a model behind 600m or a model ahead of it but can someone please tell me how these differ?

Cuz if 500m is basically 600m, I might go for it..

It looks like your 500m IS our 600m. Looks exactly the same in every respect.

Dell was supposed to release a 500m here in May that is cheaper than the 600m.

Noooo! 500m is NOT 600m:

Integrated Intel® Extreme Graphics Up to 64MB shared2 memory

This is a very crucial difference. The 600m has a discrete graphics card, not the integrated Intel "Extreme" (ie sucks) graphics.

Oh yea, that's a huge difference. Don't go with that intel integrated crap unless you really don't care much about gaming.

Whoa....I didn't notice that at all.....

The 500m is 'bout nz$500-700 cheaper than the similar-spec (almost) toshibas and acer i wuz looking at....which is why i thought it wuz a good buy. Didn't look in the graphics dept though. Now, it's all almost even again....sheesh...
