Because, inevitably, they would be changing themselves. Everthing that has happened in history has effected they way the world is now, and if even a little part of the past is changed, it will have a domino effect upon every other even in history.

Yet another paradox. If someone went back in time say 5000 years to change something. That would mean that history has changed, and if history has changed, than the people who went back in time would probably never have existed to change history in the first place! The paradox being, how can they change something back in time if history got altered due to them and they probably will never exist?Originally posted by: rbloedowBecause, inevitably, they would be changing themselves. :QIf they cant even get to mars without their spaceships breaking up, how the hell do they expect them to last for 50000 years?
They probably don't want to risk causing a rip in the fabric of the space-time continuum.if there were a time machine in the future, why wouldn't ppl be coming back to the past to fix stuff and wahat not?

AHHH! Finally someone understands!I have been trying to explain this to people for years, but everyone just gives me the "confused dog with their head cocked to the side" look.
