Hey guys...

I have around $500 to spend on a new pc.

Things i need are:
*Processor
*Motherboard
*Ram
*Power Supply
*Sound Card

Since i already have:
*CDROMS/RW/DVD/Floppy
*Video Card (GeForce 3 Ti 200)
*Monitor/Keyboard/Mouse/Speakers

Any suggestions?

is it enough for me to buy a 1.6A? or should i just go for an Athlon XP 1800+.

Im wanting to overclock, what would you recommend? (HSF?)

Thanks

Get a 1.6A if you're gonna overclock.

Here's what I'd recommend:
CPU: 1.6A - around $140
Motherboard: EPoX 4G4A/+ - around $100 for the 4G4A, add $20 to get the 4G4A+ which adds RAID and LAN (both prices from mwave.com)
RAM: Either Samsung or Mushkin 1x512MB stick - around $150
Sound: Either use the integrated 6-channel sound no the EPoX board or get a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz - around $50 (I think)
PSU: Antec True Power 380 - around $70 (I think)

That comes to about $430 + SH. One thing you didn't mention was HD. If you need to buy a new HD I'd recommend either the 60GB 7200 RPM Seagate Barracuda IV for around $90 which is nearly as fast as the Maxtors but extremely quiet or the WD Caviar 'SE' 80GB 8MB Cache 7200 RPM for around $120 which is nearly as fast as a SCSI drive.
