I have about $500 and I need everything...basically, I have no PC parts at all. So I need a case, ram, cpu, video card, motherboard, hard drive, cd-rom, psu, monitor, soundcard, keyboard/mouse, speakers etc. I would like the fastest and best pc possible for this amount of money and the fact I need to buy almost EVERYTHING.

I do NOT need an amazing/good video card...this is a NON-GAMING PC and I do NOT need an Operating System like Windows, I already have that. This PC will be for home application use mostly.

Can someone please make/post me the very best PC for around $500? remember this is from scratch, I need almost everything besides an OS.

How about a laptop? You can get decent ones on sale for around that much.

Or a Dell ? I doubt you can slap something together INCLUDING a monitor, for as little as 500$, unless you want complete crap :p

Have to go with MarcVenice, building your own computer on the super low end is too pricey compared to prebuilt retailer stuff. You could try getting used stuff from people, but if you want new, the only way you'll get a computer for $500 with all that stuff is to buy something from Dell/HP/Compaq/Whatever.

Add that monitor accguy9009 linked and you'll be a little over budget.

Also what he linked above is actually really good too, except i'd substitute the processor for a dual core one for $10 more.
