In for one, Thanks OP! Now does seagate make a good external enclosure?

Edit: Does this have the 5 year warranty?

i heard this drive is a bit louder than the 7200.9 counterparts. but at this price i think its alright if its a bit noisier

ANYONE KNOW THIS??? --- can you RAID a 7200.9 and 7200.10 drive together? I've asked this a few times and don't believe I got a straight answer... :(

Which type of RAID are you trying to setup?
You can pretty much RAID any drives together as long as you have the propper hardware/software, but you'll be limited by your weakest drive.

Man, nice timing, I was just in the market for a new file storage/gaming drive, this looks like it fits the bill. Even if it is loud it should be inaudible in the lower compartment of my P180, I just wonder if it will be warm enough to require me to actually put a fan down there.

trying to RAID 0 or RAID 1 a 7200.9 with another one, but the deal here is for a 7200.10

Typical Newegg they know how to loose business. Always bumping up the cost after it starts getting hot.......

Got one, Thanks OP!

I never intended to use my machine as an HTPC as well so I was always low on space. Not for long!
