Hope this isn't a repost but I didn't see it anywhere else. Click the above link, customize the $499 choice, all lowest price options are already selected. Make sure to choose your free gift of printer, PDA, or digital camera. Shipping is free.

It's a 2.0 Ghz Celeron, 30 GB hard drive, 128 MB DDR RAM, 48x CD-ROM... hardly a kickass computer but you're getting it dirt cheap and NO REBATES INVOLVED so this is still a pretty good deal.

It might be possible to get the price even lower with a Small Biz coupon code, I don't know if any exist right now. Is that 5% code still active? I know the 15% is long gone...

With the 18" flat screen option at $620, the free Zire is going for ~$70 on ebay, the 2350 base system for at least $275, That makes for a 18" LCD for less than $300. Very little risk involved, even with ebay sturated, the systems seem to be selling.

Well, just pulled the trigger on the buy...yippee.

Yeah, it ought to be selling for under $300 without problems.

One question: Would this system take a P4 2.0A Processor?

I don't know, but my wife has this system and I have an 8250. The 2350 isn't the quietest system out there and it seems a poor uprade path, but if you have a 2Alying around and it fits...go for it.

Have to say, this may or may not be a good deal.

When previous post say less than $300 for the 18" LCD, s/he has counted in the palm zire as $70 and has not counted the tax.

The fact is zire is only selling for about $50, and tax for the whole system will pop up your cost by another $30. So, your cost for 18" LCD may be much higher than $300.

Getting the 18" LCD for less that $400 or even $450 right now is a good deal. If you can get this for anything close to $300 after all is said and done then you are getting a tremendous deal on this monitor.

Dell was really always #1... HP briefly took over the #1 spot because they were combining sales from both HP and Compaq.

Seriously though, I'd never have bought Dell if I didn't frequent this forum. I've now got 2 Dell laptops, 4 Dell flat panels (20", 19" and 2x 15"), speakers, about 6 hard drives, network cards... the list goes on and on. And I paid a fraction of what I would have paid without all the coupons and rebates that make these deals so spectacular ;)
