Time will tell. Rappers like Ice-T and Ice Cube have shown that they have "talent". 20 years after they began they are still in showbiz making money. Dre has also been around for years only he's making money of whoever is new and popular. "fiddy" and others probably won't. Very few rappers have stood the test of time. I've listed three out of how many? The way fiddy's spending money, he'll probably go the way of Hammer and we'll see him on some reality show in 10 years.

Snoop Dogg has also stood that test... Not many others, though... I agree.

jay z, nas.....mmmm dmx too possibly......oh and of course OUTKAST

ludacris seems like the next one, his albums are always mulit platinum

I would probably put DMX and Ludacris over Jay-Z and Nas, just for the fact they have gone mainstream in fields other than Rap...

...and Jay-Z hasn't?

yeah jayz has the upscale 40/40 sports bar/club in manhattan, armandale vodka brand, roca wear clothing, the S. Carter sneakers, he had that nokia black phone when his album dropped and he is now the CEO of def jam and going to be owner of the nets when they move. Not bad for a kid that came from the gutter.
