There are No magic Routers.

For about $50 the two choices are.

1. Linksys wrt54L with 3rd party firmware.

2. Buffalo WHR-G54S ( <http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833162173> )

Did you ever call Linksys tech support. I was helping some friends with a similar problem, and they gave us some non-default settings that improved performance with their system.

Sorry, I don't recall the settings. 😛
