From the description:
USB means no need for an AC adaptor as long as your desktop or notebook computer, MP3, CD player or radio has a USB port.

They must be kidding, I've never seen a CD player or radio with USB ports.

Their out of stock on the speakers.
I ordered 3 spindles on the deal 9.95-5.00 mir=4.95 2 days ago.
The problem is living in Canada I can't use the mir.
I called Outpost.com and told them that 2 days ago I ordered the spindles and now they are giving away free speakers with them.
Gave her my order number, and she filled out a form for me so that when the speakers show up they'll send me a pair per spindle(3)
No extra charge on the shipping. If you got in on this deal before they added the speakers, it's worth a phone call to see if they'll send them to you.:D

I ordered one yesturday afternoon and got it in the morning.
The speaker has 2 wires. 1 usb and 1 plug (to sound card).
I guess the only thing different about this speaker is that it is powered by usb.

Just opened the "USB" speakers. The only thing USB about it is that it gets its power from the USB port. You still need a sound card to have it work. Man, I was all excited to try out a usb speaker w/o any sound card. Well, I needed some blank CDs at work anyway.

These speakers ain't so hot, so don't worry if you missed out. If I actually paid for them they'd be on their way back.

So if you missed this one, don't worry about it.
