Got this in an email for DailyRadar.com subscribers. Valid from 10/20 to 10/31. Seems to be exclusive to Daily Radar (not an "on the box" rebate as far as I know). Says you can buy it anywhere though...

So, I don't need to subscribe to Daily Radar, if possible pricematch circuit city online with the lowest price on pricewatch (233 unless someone can find it lower) and then use the coupon to get $50 off.

If I just go with the straight forward version, wouldn't that mean 233 -50 = $183 in store pick up?

or does the 110% mean no only does circuit city match the price, but beats it by 10% ? If it's beat by 10%, then it's about $210, and subtract $50 = $160 in store pick up and it's about only 30 dollars more than voodoo 3 3500 (pricewatch has it for that much)? or is it 10% of the difference with 226 - 50 = $176

I am tempted by this. could someone help me, please? thank you

I'm sorry to bother everybody again, but I just found out that Staples.com has the voodoo 5 5500 on their site for $299.98 (437226)

If I pricematch with the lowest price (gogocity has oem at 234 listed on webpage or (ComputerHQ has retail at 243 if they get picky)

Use the 40 off 200 coupons at staples and get the attache case (anyting over 100 and i already got the tv)

use the 50 dollar rebate

wouldn't that mean I get the card for close to $144--153?

I'll try my best
and we'll find out

EDIT: I called and the lady said that the wherehouse in my area has it out of stock...and so my order if i placed it over the internet would be cancelled. dang!!!! I'm tempted to just place the oder over the internet but I also want the attache bag, but should I just give it up and just try to get the 3d card and not be greedy and take my chances on the website? please advise, thank you

YAHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:)

I got it!!! I was able to order the voodoo 5 5500 agp. They were willing to match the oem version 234, but i found out that somehow the shipping was $12, so i went with something lower (239+ 4.75 I was lazy and forgot to check other oems and their shipping costs)

However, under the normal number it's a chancy risk, but I had a nice customer service lady who gave me a special order number (IM1521211) and they had it in stock and I was able to price match, use the coupons and get the free attache bag.

My cost at staples (without tax) is 203.75

I hope you can get a better price, but I'm happy because I still get to use the $50 rebate (in the end w/o tax would be 153.75, but I have the horrid CA tax...oh well) since today's the 30th and the expiration is on the 31st and the postmark is by the 30th of november!!!!

Good luck to anyone who tries this!!!!

HI Viv Yip,

Can you please let me know where you found the OEM Voodoo 5 AGP for that price. I purchased one from staples and am getting ready to call for my price match. Thanx in advance.

I found the OEM versioin at gogocity, but it has at least $10 shipping... Look at Pricewatch

it's very convenient and I personally think that since staples doesn't say if thier's is oem or retail, then we're very lucky. oh well.

I was worried that they wouldn't take the oem so I also had a page for the retail version, which lucky for me had a lower shipping(at least to the lady who was the customer rep who didn't want to go through the hassle of the "checking out") (but the price itself was higher) That place was L & M Computer Products So, other than that, I cannot think of anything.

I am learning about video cards (my boyfriend is a die hard 3dfx supporter) and all i know is that it has 64meg ram, and full screen anti aliasing stuff. Personally, I was tempted by the Geforce if I couldn't get the Voodoo 5 close to the price I wanted...sorry if I do'nt know enough...I hope someone else knows more

Go to tufshop.com , they have it for 235.75(retail box), they also have a 50% of shipping coupon somewhere. anyway next day delivery comes to 9.50. so Staples will pricematch the 235.75 + 9.50. but then you will have to finagle your way with the 40.00 off coupon. But be sweet and they will be sweet back.
Good luck!!! Nice find BB

Also, the voodoo 5 5500 will arrive in about a week:frown: but, at least I get it at a nice price, I hope

ManSnake, from what I heard it doesn't. When rated with a Geforce2 and a ATI radeon, it was dead last and the most expensive of all of them. I believe there was one good aspect of the card but I can't rememeber what it was. I read the comparision on Sharky Extreme but I can't seem to find it. If I find it I will post it.

*edit* I found it! I found it! Ahem! excuse me,

The big diff between the voodoo5 and the nvida cards is all in numbers. For quality and compatability and support, the voodoo5 wins hands down. I have three systems and between the nvidia chipset and the voodoos I can say this. The voodoos picture quality is superior, if you like fast frame rates go with nvidia. But to be fair to both companies third party tweak utilities can make both of these cards run neck and neck in all respects.I am not sure about the radeon cards I am a little hesitant to buy anything from ati. There past driver and customer service issues still stick in my mind.(THEY SUCK). :D

Just did my pricematch with staples. Called last night and got nowhere with the customer service rep. Wouldn't do oem or anything. Tried again today, and no problems. Ended up price matching to $246.00 from axion technologies with shipping. Also got to use 40 off and free tv. Final price with rebate $156.00 plus tax. Thanx BBoy!
