or I was looking at this for $32:

Just something to replace my 350W +12V@16A Antec. I will get a good one when I build again, one with all the new features and top quality.

Update:

I want to get this:

450W OCZ, any objections? Will this be furure proof for say a year?

Update: OCZ ordered from Newegg. Thanks for the discussion.

I could get a good one now and transfer it to a new system (assuming ATX livesa for a while) in a year or so. I figued a $50 PSU now and a $100 PSU later is better than a $150 PSU now.

Why not just get a $100-120 PSU now, from a reputable maker like Antec or Enermax, and then you won't NEED to get another PSU later?

Actually, he did say he was going with an OCZ ModStream 450 in his last post.

Must have replied while I was posting.

Nice PSU

Never heard of the brand, generic looking, no features and expensive!

Brand name aside (which incidentally, is a reputable name), looking at the specs tells gives a couple of clues: Active PFC, which does not exist on the cheapies; and full range input of 90-240 volts (usually manually selected on cheaper PSUs). The efficiency, at 68%, isn't great, but it's acceptable.

A lot of people haven't heard of Seasonic either, but they're also among the best.

Hehhe, do a search for zippy/emac at xtremesystems nd ocforums. Some people changed to theis ps and are really happy. Higher and more stle ocs with the zippy ps. One guy went from an Enermax 660watt to the zippy 700watt and his oc went from 3.2 gig not fully stable to 3.4 gig completely stable on an athlon fx-55 🙂 Only thing that changed was the ps. They are not really popular because they are server grade ps and not consummer ps.
