I started burning about three years ago also. I started off with bundles of Ritek because they were cheaper. I only burned a few CDs with TDK. Now, 3 years later, the audio CDs I've burned on Ritek are starting to fail (static, skipping), whereas the TDKs are perfect. Haven't really seen too much difference with data CDs, but I'm slowly moving everything to TDKs.

My experience with TDK has been great. I don't use any other brand. Either I'm not getting any batchs of Ritek-made TDKs, or TDK has maintained a good standard with their suppliers.

Well, will Taiyo Yudens work in a Samsung 709 DVD player?? I tried Imations, TDK, Maxell, Fry's GQ, K Hypermedia, and Sony. None have worked. I want to make vcd's, but I'm still a novice, so I thought I might be doing it wrong. So to test the DVD out, I tried playing music I burned to these cdr's, and still nothing. Can anyone help?? I saw somewhere that someone had success using That's Write and Sirus (not sure of this one), but I've never heard of these brands before, and can't even find them anywhere. Have any of you heard of these??
