50-pk Imation 32x CD-R spindles for $2.99 after rebate- BEST BUY

Sorry, no link, but hit up your local Best Buy this week to get an Imation 50 pack spindle of 32x 700MB CD-Rs for $2.99 after rebate! I got 2 of these (100 discs) for essentially, 6 bucks. Rebate postmark date is by July 15th, deal only good until Saturday night (June 22nd)!
 
plus that rip rewards program is a bit off the hook as well... what address did the unreceived(sp?) rebates go to? tia
 
hmmm this deal might be worth my time to make a trip to New Orleans. How much will this cost at the register? Is the manufactor rebate or best buy mail in?
 
Ok, I dug out my recipts- they are $12.99 out the door with a $10 manufacturer's mail-in rebate (mailing it to Imation, not Best Buy). Postmark date is 7/15/02 and it says the offer was good only until the 15th, but I bought these after that date and got rebates, plus the Sunday flyer had this deal, so tack on another week (until June 22nd).

I've used Imation before and love them- I only use them and Verbatims. Great CDs!
 
That is a great deal. I saw these sitting for 17.99 a few weeks back. I got in on the rebate a while ago and received it in about 6 weeks.
 
in order to get the rebate from officemax deal, ya must have the reciept say that it was purchased after 6/23 so the rebate and valid until tommorrow. must be bought tommorrow🙁

sweet, this will save me an hour trip to New Orleans. Although now I dont have an excuse to out partying in New Orleans.
