this was after I read theshamu's post.

anyways, for some reason, they are advertising $4.99 Fuji's at BB but i went in and saw they had $12.99-$10MIR = $2.99. thinking this was in err and i was gonna have to argue a little to get this price, I tried anyways. Sure enough, they rang me up at $12.99.

these are "Made In Japan". 😉

It's also on the website for 12.99. So if you don't want to haggle the guy, just order it online for in-store pickup. This way you can't go wrong.

Man, if you can get a copy of both those rebates, there will be money to be made. Or was one of those instant rebate? Just wondering, but I got in on the store pick-up

$22.99 - $10 IR - $10 MIR = $2.99

What is the speed of these disks?
My LiteOn X24 would burn anything at X24 but the new LiteOn X40 looks at the atapi on the blank CD where the max speed is sometimes encoded. It will only burn the Fiji X16 at X16 with burnproof on.

BestBuy doesn't pricematch Internet sites, including BestBuy.com. Anotherwards, you can order them for $12.99 online and pick them up in-store, but you won't get the 10 instant rebate(s). You can still qualify for the MIR (note one rebate per address only). Keep that in mind. If you could somehow squeak the instant rebate(s) out as well, this would be a killer deal. The local store here won't do it... YMMV.

you mean with SmartBurn on. You can leave burnproof on and turn smartburn off and burn with Fuji's at 40x. That's what I've been doing.

tigerbait - Thanks, I used the wrong word! Thanks for verifying the Fuji quality at X40!
I have been doing the same as you and they seem to burn fine, but would like to see the smartburn test anyhow, especially for other generic CDs.

GtPrOjEcTX - Nero Smart-Burn is some kind of additional test burn to test media quality. Burnproof (Lite-On's version of buffer under run) is still on even with Smart-Burn off.
But, the X40/Nero Software combination will not let you try a test burn at higher than X16 with SmartBurn "on" with these Fujis.
Also, Roxio EZCD Creator has the same kind X16 problem with this media and X40 LiteOn.

The price on the web already reflects a $10 instant rebate. So you are only eligible for the $10 MIR which is limited to 1 per household.

Man, remember when some one said CDR prices will be going up? well, thanks to that rumor i got like 500 cdrs and no need for more

yeah, i was expecting 4.99 after rebate, however, when i got to the store, it showed 12.99 - 10.00.
heck, i picked up two at that wonderful prices.
also, it's made in japan. 🙂

Rang up as $12.99 -$10 REBATE as well.

Please note that rebate is LIMITED to ONE per Household/Address !

Get Separate receipts if ya want more than one.......

Hi...I'll just re-ask my previous question. I couldn't get to my BBuy today and wanted to know if this is/was just a weekend sale or may I still get this deal tomorrow? Please, does anyone in Hot Deals know? Thanks, guys.
