CDR50 Audiobahn 50pk $19.99 less $17 MIR = $2.99

Currently shows online as $19.99 less $7 MIR but newspaper ad says $17 mir so B&M only or they haven't updated site yet or again they have screwed up.

Audiobahn makes subs and amps. Circuit City is one of few big B&Ms that carry them. They have a good rep for that stuff but just expect generic rebrands for the cds as they are not in the cdr making business.

News flash. EVERY cdr you see in the store is not made by that company. They are all made by someone else and rebranded under their respective "brand names".

The big question is, which manufacturer really made these?

Hmm, Allisolm's been posting tons of CC stuff recently. Secret insider connection? ;)
Bump for what looks like the cheapest CD-R disks this week.

Not hardly. Dealing with cranky, bargain-hunting Anandtechers takes more stamina than I have. Just what I found to be the cheapest deal in the ads. Omax has 30-pk Fuji for $1.98 after rebate, but I don't have any Omax within about 200 miles. See this thread for the Fuji deal.

Thanks for the nice words! I'll take that  (a JW Dundee honey brown ale) and settle back to watch the Falcons and Tampa Bay.

I bought these at the local CC today... here is the details from cdrdao for one of these blanks.

Total Capacity: 79:57:72 (359847 blocks, 702/807 MB)
CD-R medium: Prodisc Technology Inc.
Short Strategy Type, e.g. Phthalocyanine

ahh...

seems to be in store only.
Also, it suggests that these are 80minute audio cd-r's. Does that mean that they may not be used for data?
I seem to remember hearing/reading that there is no point to specifically use audio cd's for burning audio. Is that true?

Brad

I always worried about the Audiobahn quality myself..........especially after seeing the only shops carrying the brand around here being the local pawn shops. I was quite surprised to see the stuff in CC. Considering how much the pawn shops pay for the amps and speakers, and they are WAY CHEAP wholesale, CC is making a killing on their sales of them.

Nope, I've been putting porn (data) on them and they work great.

I picked these up, but haven't used them yet. It's actually 2 rebates, one for $10 and 1 for $7, and you only need UPC copies for them both.
Can't really go wrong for $3 + tax on these.
