If you live in an area that has Micro Center's (like Dallas) they have 50 pack cdr spindles for 9 bucks. You can choose 74 or 80 minute media (gee let me think real hard about that one). They are white surface, blue dye unmarked.
We use these at work and they are at least as good as any other cheap cdr media I've used.
Since outpost is charging 8 bucks for shipping now those kingston spindles aren't such a hot deal for 12.
