Do you have a CDR ID of these Maxell discs? Curious who the manufacturer is...

If these sales are still going, you can tack on the 12% Customer Appreciation discounts as well. Brings them down to nearly free. The coupon can be found at chubby billfold.....

I saw some Maxell's that were TY at Walgreens yesterday, anyone finding spindles "Made in Japan"? They are also a different shape than the other spindles.

Are these online too or in store only? I can't seem to find them online.

Most of the Maxell 80min spindles that I've seen (mostly at Walgreen's too), were Ritek, althought after using a few of them, I actually got better results than from 48x-rated Fuji T-Ys, in terms of very low C1 error counts (and zero C2 errors).

I've also seen some other packaging, not locally, of "Maxell CD-R 80 Pro", note the "Pro" at the end, those are supposedly T-Y. Does the packaging on the spindles you saw, say "Pro" on them? Do they have the "traditional" T-Y screw-top spindles, that Fuji T-Ys used to have?

I think the screw tops are long gone. They have switched to a locking top mostly now. Anyway, you can tell by the sides of the spindle cover, near the bottom will be a part about an inch long that is slightly bigger than the rest. That, and of course Made in Japan.

Yes, like the new Fuji spindles. Btw, are those Maxell CD-R "Pro", or not? That would be an interesting development... when Fuji switches from T-Y to ProDisc, Maxell decides to switch from Ritek to T-Y.
