These things are pretty cool, what's the user experience like?

My Squeezebox (old-style half black, half silver) is, in my opinion, the best, most useful piece of audio or computer equipment I've ever bought. Easy to use, great forums (very little of the cat fights that audiophiles so delight in). What I've done is convert a pretty extensive CD collection to FLAC files, storing them on external hard drives (and backed up on DVDs). Now the only time I ever even touch a CD is either the first time I get it or if I want to play it in my car.

One caveat-the wireless part of my home network wasn't strong enough as set up, I eventually went to hardwiring my Squeezebox (CAT5 cable) rather than tinkering with it.

The Square Circle forum at Audio Circles is a good audiophile forum that discusses Squeezeboxes (mostly modified-audiohiles are never satisfied) and other ways to use a computer as a high quality audio source.

Don't forget that these devices also support Pandora streaming music service (you apparently get a 90-day free trial, then $36/year for Pandora subscription). Thanks for a great deal, OP!
