Sorry, I don't play games that scare the shit out of me. I can tolerate everything else, but shock horror scares the fucking shit out of me (and I can't stand it).

I don't scare easy or get creeped out much but I played the original Silent Hill game on the Playstation 1 and it was extremely creepy, much more so than the Resident Evil series of games.

Me and my buddy were playing it together and taking turns but working together and we both found it disturbing. When I played it by myself at home in the evenings it was even more creepy. I can still hear some of those creepy sound in my head to this day. The people who developed this game must have been some real whackos because it takes a twisted mind to come up with some of the stuff that game presented and they did a terrific horrific job.

I am sure the movie is a let down compared to the game. I need to watch it I guess. I tried once but fell asleep a few minutes into it.

If the game is worse than this, you can be sure I will NOT be playing it.

It's not shock horror. The game's too good for that. It really effs with your mind.

I played the game as a kid when I was younger and it absolutely scared the shit out of me. The movie is bad enough as it is, but having played the game beforehand I must say Silent Hill is one of the scariest movies I've ever seen.

It's because you have a stronger attachment to the main character since you're controlling him. I can't stand truly scary games either. The suspense is too much. Movies I can handle, but I'm exhausted after an hour of Silent Hill.

The movie was really, really terrible. However, you could tell that there was some major talent in the special effects department. So it may be worth your time just for that... if your time is worth very, very little, as mine is.

I haven't played the games so I wasn't comparing it to them. To me it was enjoyably creepy.

Silent Hill (not the video game!)

Silent Hill (The OFFICIAL Movie Site)

I found the movie to be very very EMO.

I actually liked it enough to get it in the Blockbuster bin used for $4 after I saw a heavily edited version on TV.

Anyone who says they hated this flick, most likely don't like horror at all, and were forced to watch it against their will, like in Clock Work Orange. Or they were total fan boys of the game, and just couldn't cope with the fact their little game didn't get made 100% the way THEY would have made it.

If you have a chance to watch the making of stuff, it's worth it. They expended a lot of time and effort and minimal CGI to accomplish this film.

And who couldn't like a film where the center of all that is evil is the Borg Queen?

It had an interesting beginning but it just got too weird for my tastes.

Even though I am a huge fan of the games, I thought the movie turned out pretty well. Sean Bean is one of my favorite actors. I look forward to the sequel and SH5 as well.
