50 miles away

all of the ota digital signals are at least 35 to 50 miles away.. can anyone recomend a good medium range outside multi directional antenna?
It will be hooked up to a 65 inch mitsubishi dlp 1080i tv with built in tuner

I just have a cheap hand me down "RCA HDTV antenna" (just a v-shape) sitting in the rafters in my attic. I am able to get some lower power distance stations (~40-60 miles) without a problem.

My grandparents have an outdoor antenna and can get all stations within a 60 mile radius (of the towers). Their antenna is the same one they put in in 1984 when they moved out to the country.

OP, what is your zip code? Also, Antennaweb is very conservative when it comes to estimating what stations you should be able to receive. A newer and more accurate site to use is Tvfool.com. Plug in your address there and see what kind of signal levels you can expect at your place. Also, you can save your radar plot image. Try this and post your results here. That way we can give you a more accurate assessment of what you will need for good reception.
