First car I owned was a 1996 Vauxhall Astra that took a ridiculous 15seconds to go from 0-60mph and handled like a boat with marshmallow brake pads!
The S2000 feels a lot faster 😀. 0-60mph in 6.2seconds and it the handling is sweet. I'm no car pro but it feels tight and hugs the ground when turning.
Lack of torque? It's relative and the last car was an A-B car with no performance short of being able to move. Any car would feel torquey compared to it, and to me this one does. I've driven my friends S3 to 150mph in Germany and that feels torquey through the autobahns. Instant power in any gear. The S2000 you just drop it down a gear and make sure your in the correct rev range to make the use out of the engine. No biggie imo.
The brakes feel solid. Enough power for me.
The roof is pretty cool and the weather was gorgeous yesterday and I had it down for a few hrs. Very nice feeling, like my head got a massage after 30mins on the motorway!
The boot will be enough for me and when I want to shift some bigger stuff I can borrow someone else's car.
The back end is very happy to slip out if you thrash it out about in 2nd gear and are turning. It surprised me off a slip road yesterday. I wasn't meaning to get the back end out but it went out a bit but I controlled it  From that moment on I am giving the car that much more respect.
The rear tyres need replacing, so any good S2000 forums you'd recommend whilst I do some researching on my own? It'll be interesting to see how back happy the car is with near tyres.
