This is weird my 50 foot HDMI cable I bought from monoprice won't work on my pc to my projector anymore.

It use to fine.

Doesn't make sense.

It worked fine with a roku when I tested it.

The other spare HDMI cable worked fine as well from my computer to my projector too.

I am lost for words.

Try adjusting the end to see if it's a loose connection? I had a projector at a client with an HDMI port that was too loose to make a solid connection.

probably the the ends of the connector have been slowly tearing over time, especially if there's a major bend somewhere in the cable. I tend to use long runs with thick cable (24awg or so) and they do tend to start dying after a few years probably from heating and cooling cycles in the room and running them along the wall and around sharp corners.

My advice? Get a Cat5e HDMI extender kit. Then, if/when the long run of Cat5e starts to screw up, replace it. IME, a 50' run of Cat5e is relatively cheaper than a 50' HDMI cable.
