It can't happen to soon. I had the displeasure of watching his new video "In da hood" or something like that. Wow the lyrics were so...predictable. Crib, pools, cars, ladies money, and how he made it. Wow what an artist.

But according to him...

"It's FUN to get shot!"

(I heard that on MTV or in the news or on here or something)

Not that I am at all defending this neanderthal, but I don't know of anyone who would choose to be raised in such a horribly disadvantaged environment.

Be thankful you have a family who gave you what you needed to succeed.

Meh, I disagree. You are basically saying that he had control of the part of society he was born into. I think he has made the best of the situation. He is not intelligent enough to make it in the business world (heredity) so rapping was the best thing he could do to put food on the table. He sold 1 million albums on his debut. Not too bad.

Look at Skoorb's first post. Now look at the 2 quotes in your sig. Is it any wonder why rap is so often rejected as being a valid art form? I mean, how much more of "I'm rich" delivered in some sort of bastard 2nd grade English does this planet really need?

"heredity" you might want to re-phrase this.

Amen. But in grade two I learned that the plural of cent is cents, so I wonder if "50 cent" even got past grade 1? It's interesting because by all accounts he should already be dead or at least on death row and yet instead people actually pay to hear this guy "rap". I'm no huge fan of rap but I can say that Eminem could suffer a major brain trauma and still write a song that 50 cent couldn't hold a candle to.

---

In regards to how he was brought up if you're going to blame a person's entirety on how they are brought up I don't know how you could find it within yourself to condemn a murderer or a crack dealer. Afterall "What else could have done being brought up in that environment?"

Anyway I'm off to bed. This was just another 50 cent hate thread. I've made a couple before and felt it was high time for another.

Why? Don't stupid parents often have stupid kids? I don't think race has anything to do with it.

Maybe it's from the "50 cent piece" because "dat be all I eva saw growin up, dawg. I neva had no bling bling, just 50 cent piecizzles."

We won't even bother comparing either of those to the old-school early rap (which was GOOD).

Well, he could have been another mainstream rapper ... oh, wait ...

How do you know he couldn't have been a doctor if he was born and raised in a better environment?

Ya'll got nothin, just a young pup.

I'll break you balls and break no sweat,
When da girlz wit me they always wet.

And I made that up on the fly! I also defy anybody to show me anything from 50 cent anymore intelligent than those four lines of crap!

Seriously I have to go to bed though :)

Because doctors have brains. Just download 1-2 songs that he's written. The lyrics are an insult to stupidity.
