I did a search and didn't see this posted , so, quoting from the ad:

"50-pack spindle CD-R for PC CDR50
$19.99 - $5 Mfr. Mail-in rebate -$14.99 Circuit City Mail-in Rebate = FREE" on back cover of ad booklet

650,74 min

Good deal, I got it online with store pickup - all it's gonna cost me in the long run is 93 cents (for tax) - practically free, but probably good for frisbees.

Allison, thanks for the post.
Regarding this sale, it starts today and runs all week. I just got back from CC and picked up the 50 pk spindle. It is STI Certified Products brand and it comes with a $5.00 manufacturers MIR and a $15.00 CC MIR.

In addition, you can also order this online as well. Just go to the CC home page and click on specials.

Does anyone know what type of media it is? The last free CD-R deal at CC was the TDK. Very good media. I'm tired of these cheapie deals where theres 10 coasters per 50-pack spindle. :)

I have both of the Circuit City rebate forms in front of me. The mfg. rebate form states "The original UPC barcode ---". The Circuit City rebate form states "A copy of the UPC barcode ---". No problem.

on the cds it says PRINCO P0321151950900. They are the blue dye -- silver backed disks and the wrapper says "multi speed up to 16X". The mfg., as some else has already remarked, is STI Certified Products.

If they don't have any in stock they can order it from the warehouse for you. The rebates will still apply. A CSR in Maryland said the wharehouse is full of these things.

Hey mindnight .... How can $ 9.99 be a better deal than FREE ??? I dunno how that computes. I just picked mine up from the B&M and the clerk gave me the STI 80 minute CDRS instead of the 74 minute ones.

midnight....i agree with you. i would pay $10 for 50 excellent quality cdrs. but on the other hand, the poorer quality is free. both are really good deals if you ask me! i'm beginning to get way too many cdrs around here because of the good deals, so am concentrating on picking up deals on the excellent quality ones from now on. if any of you do any cdr trading most people will only accept the excellent quality ones. and i think you really can have too many blanks laying around!...vroom

I ordered online just before noon on Sunday, figuring that it would be quicker to reserve me one right then, rather than drive down there and risk having the last one picked up by some chump as I was driving there. Well sure enough, apparently the employees have to yank one off of the shelf even for the online orders. So of course, when I showed up the next day to get it, they didn't have any. They said usually their trucks are pretty good about bringing the products that the computer says 0 inventory for very quickly, and he said a truck was coming that evening. He took my phone # and actually called me this morning saying more were in and the reserved one with my name on it :) So I dropped by this afternoon and now I have one :) Man I sure didn't think that was gunna happen. Anyway, the spindle I have in my hands does say STI in that little paragraph on the side, but these are 80 min 16X CDRs... I was thinking maybe I just got screwed out of the rebate, but it sounds like at least one other person got the 80/16's as well.... think there will be any problem w/ the rebate? Neither rebate specifies a specific UPC and/or SKU #, and my receipt does say STI CDR50 of course... the UPC code I have for these 80/16's is 7-80269-40111-3 that the same as everyone else?

My UPC is the same as yours. I don't think we will have any problem for the following reason. You certainly got the rebate forms from the cash register printout when you bought the CDs. That was generated as a result of the clerk scanning this UPC, so Circuit City's computers consider the spindle of 50 16X CDs as the rebate item. I am not worried about this one.

Now if you know how to get a rebate from Belkin, that information I would appreciate. I have 11 rebates unpaid from them for a variety of products (jewel cases, surge protectors, mouse pads with wrist rest etc.) from three different merchants (CompUSA, Best Buy and Office Max) dating back as far as six months. Most of these went to the black hole in Arizona with address P.O. Box 52900.

There are too many cheap crappy cd-r posts on this forum. Sigh, we should focus more on getting cheap good cd-r's. Deals like the FujiFilm post.
