Man turns $150 Ford Granada into $1.65 million Pagani Zonda — sort of

Nick Truman bought his Jaguar V-12 engine with the intention of turning into a fancy coffee table. Only that never happened. Instead, he shoehorned it into a 1990 Ford Granada he bought for $150, and after five years of labor and one finger later, he produced a working replica of a $1.65 million Pagani Zonda supercar.

I don't get why this is a hobby, it still looks terrible and is probably barely functional. Would rather have another old real Ferrari, or Lotus or something else interesting for 25k.

A valiant attempt, but it needs a lot of polish. The Interior sure could use some more touch up, especially the leather(assuming). The Exterior really fails on many points, firstly it only vaguely looks similar. Secondly, it looks crappy.

You get what you pay for, seems applicable here.

He's gone through 4 engines and the current one is blowing blue..... hmmm

Agree...

I will give the guy props for the effort. It's more than a lot of people will ever do (myself included) and he seems to be proud of it and enjoyed the work to get it put together.

There are a lot worse ways to blow $20k...

Hah it's so short (length) and tall compared to the real thing. Try the dailymail link and use that slider thing. It's cool looking, but he should've used a longer car and chopped the roof if he was going through all that trouble.
