5 Ghz Bridge or Adapter

My ISP (Consolidated Communications) let me swap out my old ancient router for a Dual Band Wireless-N router and I now need to upgrade the hardware on my desktop, which is still using a wireless-g adapter and maxes out at 18-19 mbps. Using a laptop with a dual-band A/C internal wireless adapter, I've tested that I can get download/upload speeds of 22/24 mbps on the 2.4 Ghz band and 27/35 mbps on the 5 Ghz band. My service caps out at 30 mbps download speeds.

Any recommendations for a wireless bridge or adapter? The WUMC710 is a nice price on newegg, but the reviews aren't that great and I don't need ac capability. That said, the only 5 Ghz bridges I found with decent reviews are almost twice the price. Thoughts and recommendations?

Auto correct got you. Either you are a cave diver or go down lots of staircases. I was thinking "Is Descend a brand name that's just under the radar? Hmmmm, maybe they specialize in wireless bridges and so I've just before heard of them."

I don't think there is a bridge out there that I would trust to be reliable for anywhere close to that.

At the time of my first post, this bridge was available for $38 (it's now $47). The critic reviews I found were generally favorable, but the newegg reviews suggested a lot of dropped connection problems. That was kind of why I was posting, to find out opinions if that bridge was sufficiently reliable to make it a better deal than a PCI adapter.

The N600 version of that is only $35 and generally has a better track record than most bridges. I did not realize it was so cheap right now.

For $35, I would give that a shot.

Oh wow, that is a recent change. It was more expensive than the AC version when I first looked.
