The idea of special AMD processor Centurion on Vishera core, which would operate at a frequency of 5 GHz with air cooling, inspired and interested in many AMD supporter. Especially because this company has the experience of sharing similar processors collection- Phenom II X4 42 Black Edition TWKR, which were ordered to overclock under liquid nitrogen.
According to Finnish overclocker The Stilt , ability of Centurion processor clocked at 5 GHz using air cooling is questionable. The generated by Vishera core heat require more effective cooling methods - otherwise, the processor thermal protection will work. In addition, the load on the power system of motherboard also implies the presence of power components of a highly efficient cooling.

We already have a thread on Centurion; let's please stick to one thread

The main question it raises is "Why are people believing this?"

There is a lot of speculation going around about this. It doesn't seem all that practical until you think about the Trinity -> Richland move. If true AMD most likely got a really good tweak on their resonant clock mesh. These would have to be a new stepping of the 8350's. It's totally possible, and plausible as at 5.0GHz base clock these would give Intel's extreme chips a run for their money, even tho AMD does have slower core performance. And priced at $795 it would defiantly be in the right price range as well. Tho I myself find the rumor to be a load of malarkey, but AMD could surprise us.
