That is to defrag my hard drive. i have a 40 gig maxtor 7200 rpm running dma/66, it's 1/2 full btw, haven't defragged in a month. I was just wondering how long, on average, does it take for you guyz to defrag?

Ouch 5 hours.
I defrag every few weeks or so ,my video partition even more.Takes about 20 minutes??? never really timed it

I defrag about once a week too. Takes about 5 mins for 10gigs, but my drive are never fragmented that much.

my 25gb partition with 70% fragmented took an hour and 10 minutes to defrag with norton speed disk

Nope, i'm running both win2k server and win98 on FAT32...i know it's stupid but i want to be able to see all my files using both OS's

toph99, over what length of time did that level of fragmentation build up??

second what tuffguy said. not only speedisk completes the defragmentation sessions in less than a fraction of what Intel one does, it feel faster after defraggin with speedisk.
