Finally, I get to move into my own place with no roommates but my girlfriend. We are moving into a 2 bedroom, 909sq ft apartment that is costing only $485/month plus utilities. I have all utilities already set up including DSL, but I don't know if I should get cable from Insight or go with the current Direct TV deal.

how many tvs you have in your house? youd need receivers for each one w/ directtv, but if you dont have more than like two, i say directtv, more channels and probably the same price.

2 TVs. If I got with DirectTV I get all equipment (2 receivers) plus installation free of charge. If I sign up by Saturday, I also get two months of programming free of charge. However, I don't know if I can sign up by then since I don't move in until Saturday morning.

does Insight have cable modem?

My ex's father is getting 3.0mbps on Insight and I'm at a mere 1.2mbps on DSL. Plus, Insight has that Double Play/Triple Play discount

They do, but speeds in the area are terrible. Plus they wanted $45/month plus $40/month for cable. I got Verizon DSL for $29.95/month plus $20/month for basic phone service.

holy ljasdflkjasldfj;alskjf.

Where do you live, that's a pretty good price on 900 sq ft.

I'm in Gainesville (college town), so are prices just uber high here? Me and my gf are moving into a place in august that 650 sq. feet and $650 per month. That includes DSL and cable, but not water/electricity/phone.

Good point.

Just talked to the apartment complex and in order to have satellite installed they require a $50 security deposit, $25 inspection fee, and proof of renter's insurance.
