from my understanding the optimus keyboard will only be black and white instead of color as initially thought.

I'm holding out for the one with programable OLCD screens on each key.

That thing is badass.

got a link/pic, even to a prototype?

dont hold your breath. estimates range into the tens of thousands of dollars (USD) per keyboard.

WTF? You must be rounding up to the nearest ten-thousand then, I've heard as much as 600 and as low as 350 MSRP.

Early estimates states something like one offs custom ordered number pads would be something like $500.
They will obviously be super expensive forever. I've never once heard of a computer component starting out expensive and dropping to a reasonable price.

Um..surei f youre willing to wait. Still, That dosent prove me wrong. If i said PS3s would start at $2000 I wouldnt be wrong because it did because the market had a dmeand and willingness to pay that much.

Maybe if you wait 3-4 years it might $300 per keyboard but initially the costs expicalyl on the free market will be very high.

The black and white version will be an interim release until they can finalize the color version.

The Optimus guys keep changing their minds on that. First they said that it was going to be color, then they switched to B&W, and then back to color when people bitched about it. Read the developer's blog, and you'll realize pretty quickly that the developer doesn't know what he's doing. He should stick to making pretty computer renderings, because he doesn't have a clue on how to develop the product he's pushing.
