A friend of mine that bought this motherboard had me build a system for her using it (I forget the exact model name and number right now) it has the CPU built into the board and was one of the hot deals a month or two ago.
Anyway - hopefully this is a generic problem as I am temporarily working in Israel and have no chance to look at the PC for a few months..
Initially she got an error message saying something like "out of scan range". I assumed this was something to do with the refresh rate and told her to change it to say 85Hz in case the monitor was struggling with the 100Hz it was originally set at.
Well the other day her nephew was using the PC and when she started it up the display is white for some reason. She has tried the monitor with another PC and it works fine.
Is this a bad VGA adapter? it is built in.
I'll try to find out the actual model of the Syntax motherboard and report back ASAP.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. I think a cheap PCI card (no AGP slot) may well be the solution though
