May check out Mosquito Coast myself. Based on a great book and stars Harrison Ford if not mistaken.
 
Logan's Run ROCKED! Especially that one scene where they ran through the...umm...club? All slow motion? That was like watching my first pr0n0.

And being whacked at 30? kind of made sense to me at the time..30 was OLLLLLDD!!

Yes, there was a decent tv series spin off. Also a comic book series as well.
Cant find the tv series anywheres....
