You probably wont get anything, they charged you for shipping only, you didn't pay a price for the item, I don't think you have a legal sale, except to have a empty box shipped to you...

Just got off the phone with a CSR and they said that only compusa may purchase this item. As in the company, they said this item was not availible for customers. I think I might try to buy one anyway though

Bad move, you never call the CSRs in situations like this. If they don't know about it, then you just informed them, now this deal is definitely dead! Just wanted to let you know awrmplace.

YOU GUYS ARE FREAKIN MORONS! LET'S HEAR THE COLLECTIVE 'POP' AS YOU ALL PULL YOUR HEADS OUT! Lots of websites have items that they resell to other retailers only. Whenever something says "Dell only" or "CompUSA only" etc. the price shown is not the actual price, because Dell and CompUSA don't want you to know how little they pay for the items since they mark them way up before they sell them to us.

Nobody "ruined the deal" for you by calling to clarify - there was no deal to ruin!

Seriously, sometimes there's such idiotic behavior on this forum it makes me wonder why I keep coming here...

Well, if it's not the "actual" price, then they shouldn't post on an "actual" webpage with "actual" consumers. If they want to set something up with another retailer, use the phone.
