Nice benches Thugs.
are you kidding? they still dont believe him ;)

sandra hasnt been installed for a long, long time :p
i did post the AIDA32 scores that show something isnt quite being accounted for.
it seems to only test bandwidth and not speed.
the funny part is that PCMark2002 obviously knows exactly whats going on :D
whoda thought? :Q

the big let down was that the OCZ3700 couldnt run GAT=streetracer :(
that was kinda my whole point of wanting to run 1:1 (GAT=streetracer)
without it, there is no real reason to run 1:1.

anyways,
with ram prices getting higher and higher everyday, there is actually no need to spend any more $ then you really have to.

I almost kept my 3500 till I found out I could run my PC4000 at 1:1 cas 2.5 and ran a few benchmarks. I will try re-running the benchmarks with GAT and see what my findings are.

Thugs, are those OCZ sticks the REV 1 or 2? I have the REV 1 and they will do 275fsb 1:1 @ 2.8V CAS 3 when I had my IC7-G and 2.4C or 250 1:1 CAS 2.5 GAT A A A D D. I used them at the higher FSB for F@H and did not notice a degredation in game play (a couple a FPS is nothing).

Now on my IC7 MAX3 board and 2.8E, I can't seem to push through the 250 mark so I am running at 240 FSB 1:1 GAT F1 CAS 2.5.

these are rev2 512mb sticks.

i did test out streetracer for as far as it could go, which was about 214fsb 428ddr c2327 on 2.8v.
my main concern tho was how well they could run at my speed of 252fsb, at which they couldnt run any GAT at all :(

my results with these sticks were verified by another forum member (using these exact sticks).
they couldnt go any higher or any faster.

im not saying they suck by any means.
this isnt a review, its just a "my experience" thread. (more or less)

1:1 is not a clear winner here, not to mention the "headroom" factor.
like i said before ~ i need something that can run 250-252fsb 1:1 streetracer ;) :D

Remember to always read more than 1 source before trusting the information you are presented with. Contrary to Anandtech's review, this says the opposite.

Unless there is a huge difference between PC3500 EB and PC3200 EB ram, I would still reserve judgement until more reviews and comparisons are made available. Besides the comparison addressed the Cas 2.5 vs. Cas 2.0 problem, not Cas 3 vs. Cas 2.
