Dear Esther is a beautiful game... er, "game".

Not for everyone, however it's one of those games you could use as an argument for video games being an art form. (Which is a good thing.)

I payed $10 for it on release, and despite being quite short (about 90 minutes), I don't regret it. It really is quite beautiful and I plan on "playing" it again.

I agree with everything you noted. I loved it....haunting atmosphere with superior artistic direction. Walking through the cave was just an amazing experience.

The original mod is free, but this is the "souped up" version that is 10x more gorgeous.
