Kim did awesome.

Clay did great on two of his songs.

Ruben was okay. He's usually one of my favorite singers, but seemed kind of lacking tonight.

clay: much better on song two, song three was too fast but he pulled it off, song one was NOT for him.

ruben: he did allright but he cannot really hold notes, which i think may hold him back. the first song was a nice change of pace, and he was his same old self the rest.

kim: she's allright but i still do not like her. she has gotten a lot better since the beginning of the show but i still don't think she is the best. her makeup was REALLY bad tonite...

Clay's worst night IMO, mostly due to the songs rather than his voice. First he forgets the words to song 1 (crappy song anyway), sounded great on #2 but that song is just way too lounge-cheesy, and on song 3 the arrangement was completely terrible (way too fast), he sounded good but I still didn't like it.

Also, Ruben is starting to sound kind of hoarse. It doesn't matter, though, Kim will almost certainly go. She's a good singer, but not as good as the other two and she's not much of a performer IMO.

Why do people think that the lilting (or whatever it's called...running the voice up/down the octaves/scales) equals talent? It's all like Whitney Houston/Mariah Carey crap. Like those people who get WAY carried away singing the Star Spangled Banner.
