5.11 tactical fleece jacket $49:Q

I see what looks to be a terrific price on a 5.11 Tactical Fleece Jacket with a taffeta liner going on at LA Police Gear. At $49 the price looks to be about 40% lower than anyone else is offering for it.

Now my question is if anyone has any experience in the wind protection that this liner provides. I guess I will pick one up. Used to have a Brit sweater with a liner that was great, but fleece is way better.

Thanks OP.

A friend of mine has one of these and really likes it. Good enough for me to take a chance on.

An extra bonus: Free Shipping :)

Enter "freeshipping" before check-out.

* FREE ground shipping on ANY 5.11 Jacket purchase over $80. Type "freeshipping" (no space) in the coupon box at checkout to remove ground shipping charges.

Forget the shipping...even if it's over $80 The mentioned jacket is a closeout.

From their site:

"ANY 5.11 TACTICAL ITEM DECLARED TO BE A CLOSEOUT DOES NOT GET FREE SHIPPING"

Later they say, if you try, they will add a shipping charge.

I used the coupon to get free shipping, at least thats what it showed for UPS Ground. Anything higher and the coupon wouldnt work. Anyways, nice to see 3XL fleeces! Hopefully it'll cover my long arms! :D

EDIT: Thanks OP! And Thanks to OVERKILL for the link!

got mine...no probs. This bad boy is a serious cold weather item. Now , granted tht I am comparing it to my useless Timberland fleece vest, but this item is thick fleece. The wind liner is to die for.

Love the zippered side slots for inside accessibility and the zipoff sleeves which can be partially opened for venting...very cool.

am a happy hunter. :D

Yup, even a link this time.

That place is a dangerous toy store, and that was just flipping through the closeouts. Size 13 currently out of luck on those boots, but they have a black converse with a side zipper for $39.99. My feet are only happy with about 10% of boots I try on and think are the right size, which ends up between 12 and 14 depending on the boot.

this thread reminded me of the boots that were on sale.. picked up 10.5 desert sand boots:D (my feet are 11 for most shoes, but 1/2 size shouldnt be bad)

Their website says they pay return shipping on boots...
