I am looking for 5.1 headphones. I am considering the zalman theater 6 and the LTB's.

Are their any other brands i should know about.

Thank You

I have the Zalmans and the Medusa and they both stink. You are better off getting an X-Fi card and some decent stereo headphones. You will get a MUCH better surround effect that way.

x-fi and CMSS surround simutaion works pretty good in gaming for me.

get something like Sennheiser pc150's and an x-fi variant and use CMSS when using headphones.

Just upgraded from onboard to an x-Fi, and CMSS (most notably in BF2) is surprising, almost frightening. If you can find the x-Fi for around $70-$80 (which it routinely is after rebates or during sales), it's definitely worth the money (from onboard). For retail price of $130, however, I wouldn't think so.

I have a pair of Grado SR-60's I use for gaming, and after reading the sparse, yet mostly negative reviews of 5.1 headphones, opted to just add an external sound card instead.

FYI, chances are this doesn't apply to you OP, but just in case. If you have a receiver or sound card with dolby headphone this will accomplish the same thing as CMSS and perhaps do it even better(I would trust Dolby over Creative anyday)
