Ok...I "should" be getting my Midiland 8200's tommorrow & at the moment I have both leads plugged into my sound card from my DVD drive. (I have a analog one going to cd-in & a digital one going to sp-dif).
My questions are follows:
Do I unplug the analog one & just use digital one?
At the moment I have cd digital muted, do I mute CD audio & unmute cd digital?
I have options for my speaker setup with my Live DE 5.1 soundcard, do i choose Surround speakers or 5.1 speakers? Do I still get surround sound if i choose 5.1 speakers?
I was reading my Live soundcard's manual & it said something about that if your speakers don't have a decoder then it can decode 5.1, just use sp-dif....my speakers do come with their own decoder, so would I still use the digital cable going into the sp-dif port since I won't be using sp-dif since they have their own decoder?
Also was reading something in the manual about thet if u need the soundcard to decode the 5.1 go into the speaker setup/advanced & make sure it has "bass redirection" & ac-3 decode" selected....I won't need them selected since my speakers have their own decoder...at the moment they are yellow buttons, do I click them again so they are gray & are'nt selected? My question being does yellow mean selected & gray not selected?
Thanks for all the help.
