5.1 card and speaker set $60 after rebates cusa

I just got these today -- I'm no audio freak or anything, but these seem to be working great for movies, music, and games (BF 1942). The card is easy to set up and seems to be doing just as well as any other sound card I've encountered, and the speakers are well-made with good sound. And yes, these things can shake the house with ease. The subwoofer is pretty gutsy. For $60, I frankly expected less.

I'm sorry, but how are they $60 after rebate for both the speakers and sound card. I looked at the instore ads on their website, and it doesn't show it. Is this a "Friday" deal? Thanks

Looks to be the C-Media chip, CMI8738. Probably what you'll find on a lot of on-board solutions, but it's got five jacks on the back.

The C-Media chip is good. Get the current drivers from WINDOWSUPDATE.MICROSOFT.COM
