I´m going to build a workstation soon and I like the idea of having a quad core without having to buy a server solution that requires ECC ram etc.

However, I cannot wait forever, so I´m thinking when these boards are likely to be released. Does anybody out there have a polished and reliable crystal ball? 🙂
 
Only thing I heard was latter half of 2006. I'm gonna guess Q4 but I suppose Q3 is possible but i'm thinking its unlikely unless AMD somehow speeds things up due to Conroe's launch and dominance. If you hear anything about it please share with the rest of us. 🙂
 
When AMD launced this 4x4, the mobo manufacturers hadn´t even heard about it, so I guess it will take some time to get the mobos out.

But I hope it will be out late July, because I need a new rig at that time.
 
I seriously doubt that it will be late July that you can get one. It is an easy modification for the MOBO manufacturers to enable, but July is still too optimistic. Maybe September or October.
