4x2GB 2133 vs 2x4GB 1600

I own 2x2GB Geil 2133 MHz kit, and am about to upgrade to 8GB.
Should I try to find the same kit as I already own, and expand to 4X2GB, or it would be better to choose 2x4GB 1600 MHz? Higher frequency 2x4GB kits are still hard to find where I live.

If you don't have any intention of going 16GB then I'd go with getting another matching 2x2GB.

How much would you be paying for said kits, and do you have the possibility to sell your old kit for a reasonable amount of money? Are you also sure you will need more than 4GB, or do you just have money to spend and can't think of a better way to spend it?

Sell the Geil I say. Having 8gigs @ 1600 vs 4gigs @ 2133 seems like a no brainer to me.

I remember seeing an article here earlier which showed that 1600 at latency 9 gave the best performance.

I'm sure higher speed RAM gives better performance. That's kind of obvious. 1600Mhz is just the sweet spot in terms of price/performance according to Anandtech.
