4x yamahama burner reported as 2x only in ez cd creator??? any advice?

I just got a yamaha 4x4x16 scsi burner but my burning program doesn't report it as a 4x burner, only a 2x. What can i do to remedy this? I'm using Adaptec E Z CD Creator 4 but i may try out nero to see if that helps. Thanks.
 
Get the EZ CD Creator patch that takes it from 4.0 to 4.02. I had problems with my 8x TDK until I applied the patch.
