4x GTX 770

Hmmmm.....that's probably around 900ish W just for the GPUs?

I'd start here:

XFX ProSeries P1-1250

Although it's possible you'll need closer to 1500W, I'd probably get this to be safe:

CM Silent Pro m2 1500W

Edit:

Have you done the math on how much current this will draw? Are your breakers and such rated for that?

I'm wondering why you wouldn't get 3x 780 instead? They've dropped to $500 per card.

4-way SLI provides almost no benefit over 3-way SLI last I checked... it's rather pointless.

Ah. you mean 770 vs 780... Good point! I should get the 4x 780 instead!

That XFX is actually a SeaSonic design. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if under the hood, they're exactly the same unit.

I suspect 1250W will be adequate for quad 770/780 sli, especially considering that the XFX and SeaSonic 1250W units come with 8x 6+2 pin connectors.

OP if this is for a bitcoin machine...

assumption all gpus are loaded...

take the TDP number for the gpu and multiply it by 4 and then add 200 for room.
If your overclocking the cpu... then add another 150 to that final number.

I think 200 is not really enough room because that room needs to include all the other components aside from graphics cards... not really leaving much room for full load. Ideally, since the machine will be running 100% much of the time, you shouldn't stress the PSU too hard. Newegg has a nice deal on an XFX Pro 1250W only $178 AR AP. Seasonic built Gold unit, essentially an X-1250 copy.

This is not a Bitcoin machine, this is for CUDA dev work.

So are you saying 1250W would or would not be enough?

GPU
4x250 + 200 = 1.2k...
