i wouldn't buy it, cendyne went out of business so there really is no warranty i think.

I put a cendyne cdrw drive in my niece's computer last month that i had in the closet that was never used. It showed up in her computer as a liteon. Of course, there may be several manufacturers that cendyne uses....and this was a cdrw not a dvdrw drive.

cendyne was bought out by lite-on. support for cendyne drives are very limited. if anything i think lite-on will support these drives.
