Ricoh is one of the best quality brands out there. I used to have a Ricoh MP7060A 6x burner. It was sweet, very reliable. Unfortuantely not fast enough for me anymore.

Refurbished.... Still a good deal though if you don't want to wait on the rebate on the Iomega from Compusa with the same specs (Is it the same drive?)

Ricoh is a very good brand, but I wouldn't pay that much for a refurb of any cdrw.

There are some things that I hesitate buying refurbs on;

monitors
hard drives
mice
cdrw's

i would rather buy a $100 cdrw - 10x hp, or other deal that has been coming up, and a $70 dvd player.
but i guess if you only have one slot open, its a good deal.
